Establishment of the Permaculture Council for Europe

In the European Convergence in BRNO i Czech Republic the 30^th of June to 5^th of July was it decided that the European Permaculture Institute not is serving anymore.

It stead was it decided to elect a Permaculture Council for Europe - PCE.

The council was elected as a group of 5 to 7 people after the following criteria:

- Connection to the Permaculture network

- The Council should be broadly representative of regions, of gender, of age and combination of

experience and newcomers

- Should cover a wide geographical balance

- Should be in regular e-mail contact

- Have one monthly call

- Have one yearly meeting

The mandate was:

- Organising next Convergence within 2 years

- Establish fundraising for the European and international Convergences

- Establish a European Homepage for the Council

The following person was elected up to the next 2 years:

Hannah Thorogood (England), Pavla Jandáková (England), Sonja Förster (Germany), George Sobol (England), Andy Langford (England), Tony Andersen (Denmark)

As there is one place open it was decided that it could be open to somebody from the Mediterranean region.

As the links it was decided to use the www.permacultureforum.net - where there will be opened a special homepage and forum for the Council.
